Gordon (Pecore) Fox

A boat builder and carpenter by trade, Pecore Fox started hunting at the age of 14 and was celebrated as a man who enjoyed hunting and fishing above all else.

An excellent boatwright and wood worker, Fox worked for Chris Craft, Hacker, and many of the most prominent Michigan boat marinas.

He was reputed to have crafted more duck boats than any other carver, well over 500 by his own count, besides his personal boats. He made bird decoys into the thousands and was well known for his fine fish decoys.
