Larry Peltier Perch Decoy
Carved and painted wooden decoy with attached metal fins and inset glass eyes.
Length 8", Circa 1931

A retired Detroit fireman, Peltier was an avid carpenter and woodworker who spent his spare time building boats, carving decoys, hunting, fishing and generally living the life of an outdoor sportsman.

He resided in Harrison Township outside Mount Clemens, Michigan and carved many fine examples of duck and fish decoys which are collectible for both their distinctive style and Peltier's keen observation of the natural world
